The Uniview NVR502-32B-P16 is a 32-channel network video recorder with 16 built-in PoE ports. PoE cameras can plug straight into the recorder, with up to 30 W per port and 240 W in total.

What the NVR502-32B-P16 is for

The NVR502-32B-P16 records up to 32 IP cameras, and 16 of them can connect directly to its PoE ports without a separate switch. The PoE ports support IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af, with a maximum of 30 W for a single port and 240 W in total.

Only 16 PoE ports are built in, so further cameras need their own power, for example from a PoE switch. Incoming bandwidth is 320 Mbps and outgoing bandwidth is 160 Mbps, so add up camera bitrates for the full 32 channels.

Video output is HDMI up to 4K (3840 x 2160) at 30 Hz plus VGA. The specification also lists Smart by IPC functions (face detection, SIP and UMD among them) for up to 8 images/s in total.

Add surveillance hard drives, as none are listed as included: there are 2 SATA interfaces, each up to 24 TB. Power is AC 100 to 240 V. PoE cameras need network cable to the 16 PoE ports, which are 10/100 Mbps. Any cameras beyond 16, or cameras needing more than the 240 W total, need a PoE switch. Choose surveillance hard drives for continuous recording.
