The Uniview NVR504-32B-IQ is a network video recorder for up to 32 IP camera channels with 4 SATA bays. Its datasheet lists smart functions run by the recorder itself, including face detection, SIP and UMD.

The NVR504-32B-IQ suits a 32-channel IP camera system where cameras are powered separately, for example from a PoE switch, as the specification lists no PoE ports. Incoming bandwidth is 320 Mbps with smart off and 160 Mbps with smart on, so check your cameras' combined bitrate against the figure that applies.

What you will need
Add surveillance hard drives: 4 SATA bays take up to 24 TB per drive, and drives are not listed as supplied. See surveillance hard drives. IP cameras need a PoE switch or their own power, since the specification lists no PoE ports. It runs from a DC 12 V/5 A supply. For the AcuSearch and AcuTrack functions, use compatible Uniview SIP/UMD cameras.

Does the Uniview NVR504-32B-IQ have PoE ports?
The specification lists two gigabit RJ45 network interfaces and no PoE ports, so PoE cameras need a PoE switch.
How many channels can the NVR504-32B-IQ run face detection on?
Up to 8 channels with Uniview face detection cameras, or up to 2 channels with normal cameras (two 2 MP or one 4 MP).
Are hard drives included with the NVR504-32B-IQ?
Hard drives are not listed as supplied. It has 4 SATA bays for drives of up to 24 TB each.
Can the NVR504-32B-IQ run several smart modes at once?
