Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3649T-ZS-IL-BLACK - 6MP 3K Smart Dual Light WizSense AI Eyeball Turret IP CCTV Camera, Black

The Dahua DH-IPC-HDW3649T-ZS-IL-BLACK (also written IPC-HDW3649T-ZS-IL-BLACK) is the black version of the Dahua IPC-HDW3649T-ZS-IL: a 6MP 3K WizSense AI IP CCTV camera in an eyeball housing, also called a turret camera, with a motorised varifocal lens of 2.7 mm to 13.5 mm. Smart Dual Light gives IR night vision up to 50 m and warm light up to 40 m for full-colour video of events. SMD 4.0 classifies humans and vehicles, and a built-in microphone records sound. It runs on PoE (802.3af) or 12 VDC and has IP67 protection.

Key features

• 6MP (3288 × 1850, commonly called 3K) at 25/30 fps from a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor; Dahua Starlight technology for clear images in low light.
• Motorised vari-focal lens, 2.7 mm to 13.5 mm, F1.4, so one model covers a wide range of views.
• Infrared night vision camera with Smart Dual Light: 4 built-in multi-core (IR + warm) lights with IR up to 50 m and warm light up to 40 m.
• SMD 4.0 classifies humans and vehicles; intrusion and tripwire with human and vehicle classification; AcuPick target search (with back-end devices) and AI SSA scene self-adaptation.
• 120 dB WDR, 3D NR, HLC and BLC; AI H.264/H.265 with Smart H.264+/H.265+ to save bandwidth and storage.
• Built-in microphone and a microSD slot up to 512 GB.
• IP67 metal housing in black (dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in water) for outdoor use; 12 VDC or PoE (802.3af); ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M.

Technical specification

How far it can see (Dahua DORI figures)

Dahua datasheet figures (EN 62676-4), at the wide (W) and tele (T) ends of the lens. They do not reflect intelligent function distances.

Common questions

Is it a waterproof outdoor security camera?

Yes. Its IP67 housing is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in water, so it works as a waterproof camera outdoors.

Is it an infrared camera?

Yes. It has built-in IR and warm light and a 0 lux rating with the illuminator on, so it records at night.

Is it a motion detection camera?

Yes. SMD 4.0 smart motion detection, with intrusion and tripwire rules, classifies humans and vehicles.

Is it an ONVIF camera?

Yes. It supports ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M, so it can be added to compatible third-party recorders.

What does the varifocal lens give me?

The motorised vari-focal lens runs from 2.7 mm (114° horizontal view) to 13.5 mm (32° horizontal view), so one camera can cover a wide scene or reach a distant target.

What is Smart Dual Light?

Dahua Smart Dual Light uses IR for night vision and switches on the warm light when a target appears, so the camera records full-colour video of the event. Illuminator control is Auto or Manual. See our Smart Dual Light guide.

What does WizSense mean?

WizSense is Dahua's range of AI cameras that use deep learning to focus on humans and vehicles. See our WizSense guide.

Is it a 3K camera?

It is a 6MP camera with a maximum image of 3288 × 1850, a size commonly called 3K.

What colour is it?

This version has a black housing.

Does it record sound?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone. The Dahua datasheet lists no speaker or two-way talk for this model.

Does it need a separate power supply?

It runs on 12 VDC or PoE (802.3af) and uses up to 9.8 W on PoE. A PoE switch can power it over the network cable.

Will it work with a recorder that is not Dahua?

It supports ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M, so it can be added to compatible third-party recorders. AcuPick and Smart Search work with Dahua back-end devices. See our NVRs.
