A standard IR camera lights the scene with infrared, producing monochrome night footage; a standard "full-colour" camera uses white or warm light for colour footage but the light itself is visible. Dahua's Smart Dual Light cameras fit both an infrared and a warm-light illuminator in the same housing, so the camera (or the installer, via settings) can choose infrared for a more discreet monochrome image, or warm light for full colour after dark — useful where colour identification of clothing or vehicles matters, or where a visible light is itself a deterrent.
