Common questions
Is it a 4K camera?
Yes. It records up to 3840 × 2160 (8MP) at up to 20 fps, or 2688 × 1520 at up to 25/30 fps.
What does the varifocal lens do?
The 2.7-13.5 mm motorised lens can be zoomed and focused remotely, from a 114° wide view to a 32° narrow view, so you can frame the scene after mounting.
How does it see at night?
Its 4 multi-core IR and warm lights reach up to 60 m. Smart Dual Light lets it switch between IR and warm light so events can be recorded in colour. See our Smart Dual Light guide and WizSense guide.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. Dahua lists IP67 protection (IK10 optional) and an operating range of -30 °C to +60 °C.
How is it powered, and will it work with a recorder that is not Dahua?
It runs on PoE (802.3af) or 12 VDC and uses up to 12.7 W on PoE. It supports ONVIF Profile S, G and T, so it can be added to compatible third-party recorders.
