Dahua DH-IPC-PDW3849-A180-AS-PV-BLACK — 8MP 4K 180 Degree Panoramic TiOC WizSense Turret IP CCTV Camera, Black
The Dahua DH-IPC-PDW3849-A180-AS-PV-BLACK (also written IPC-PDW3849-A180-AS-PV-BLACK) is the black version of the DH-IPC-PDW3849-A180-AS-PV: an 8MP 4K TiOC WizSense AI turret IP CCTV camera that splices two 4MP sensors into one 180 degree panoramic image from a single mounting point. Dahua's own name for this housing is "eyeball", so it is also known as an eyeball camera. It adds siren and light active deterrence, Smart Dual Light illumination with night vision, two-way talk and human and vehicle detection, and runs on PoE or 12 VDC. Suited to wide frontages, corridors and boundaries where one continuous 180 degree view is wanted without a blind spot between two separate cameras.
Key features
- Dual lens camera: two 4MP sensors (dual 1/2.7" CMOS) with fixed 2.8 mm lenses are spliced into one 180° wide-angle image, up to 8MP (4096 × 1860) at 20 fps.
- Siren and light active deterrence: light alarm and voice alarm when a perimeter event occurs, with multiple built-in voices and support for importing your own.
- Smart Dual Light: the IR illuminator is normally on at night; when a target appears the warm light switches on so the camera records in full colour. IR up to 25 m, warm light up to 20 m.
- Perimeter protection (intrusion and tripwire) classifies humans and vehicles, with stay and loitering detection, SMD 4.0 and EPTZ. With an AI NVR, Quick Pick searches SMD events for human and vehicle targets.
- Two-way talk through built-in dual microphones and a speaker; 1 alarm input and 1 alarm output; 1 audio input and 1 audio output.
- AI coding with Smart H.265+ and Smart H.264+ saves bandwidth and storage; Micro SD card up to 512 GB.
- Powered by 12 VDC (±30%) or PoE (802.3af); IP67; operates from -40 °C to +60 °C.

Common questions
What does TiOC mean on this camera?
Dahua lists this camera as a TiOC model: it combines camera monitoring with siren and light active deterrence. Our TiOC guide explains the range.
Is it a 4K camera?
It outputs up to 8MP (4096 × 1860) at up to 20 fps. That is 4K-class width, but in a wide panoramic shape made from two 4MP sensors, not a single 16:9 image at 3840 × 2160.
How wide is the view?
Horizontal 180° and vertical 86°, from two fixed 2.8 mm lenses spliced into one image. Dahua's DORI figures are above: 50.6 m to detect a person, 5.1 m to identify one.
How does the active deterrence work?
Dahua says it supports a light alarm and a voice alarm when a perimeter event occurs, with multiple built-in voices and the option to import your own. See the TiOC guide.
How does it see at night?
It is a night vision camera with IR LEDs (up to 25 m) and warm lights (up to 20 m) and uses Smart Dual Light: IR is normally on, and the warm light comes on when a target appears so the event is recorded in full colour. See our Smart Dual Light guide, Starlight guide and WizSense guide.
Is it waterproof, and can I use it outdoors?
Yes. Dahua lists IP67 protection (1 m for 30 minutes) and an operating range of -40 °C to +60 °C, so this waterproof camera works as an outdoor CCTV camera.
Can I talk through the camera?
Yes. It has built-in dual microphones and a speaker and supports two-way talk.
How is it powered, and will it work with a recorder that is not Dahua?
It runs on PoE (802.3af) or 12 VDC and uses up to 10.85 W on PoE. It supports ONVIF Profile S, G and T, so it can be added to compatible third-party recorders; Quick Pick works with an AI NVR.
