Dahua DHI-IVSS7116 — 256 Channel Intelligent Video Surveillance Server
The Dahua DHI-IVSS7116 (also written IVSS7116) is a 256 channel Intelligent Video Surveillance Server: a 3U enterprise CCTV recorder for up to 256 IP cameras of up to 32MP, with 16 hot-swap SATA bays, RAID and N+M clustering. It manages and searches AI events from compatible Dahua AI cameras: face detection and recognition, video metadata, IVS and licence plate comparison.

What you will need
- Hard drives for the 16 hot-swap SATA bays (Dahua supports enterprise-grade CMR drives, max. 20 TB each). Contact us for an enterprise drive quote; the Hard Drive option on this page adds one surveillance drive.
- IP cameras and a network/PoE switch infrastructure; this server has no PoE ports.
- A 19-inch rack (3U) or desktop space, and HDMI or VGA monitors.

What is an IVSS?
An Intelligent Video Surveillance Server is Dahua's enterprise recorder class. The IVSS7116 records up to 256 channels and manages AI events from Dahua AI cameras, such as face recognition, video metadata and licence plate comparison.
Does it support RAID?
Yes: RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, with 16 disk groups and iSCSI network disks.
How many monitors can I connect?
Four HDMI outputs (HDMI 1 supports 4K) and one VGA; VGA 1 and HDMI 1 show the same video source.
