Hikvision DS-2CD2366G2H-IU 6MP AcuSense Turret Camera with Microphone

The Hikvision DS-2CD2366G2H-IU is the turret in our 6MP AcuSense family — the same sensor, F1.0 lens and 114.8° view as the bullet and dome, in the shape most installers reach for first.

Why the turret

A turret sits between the two: lower profile than a bullet, so it is harder to knock out of alignment and less visually dominant, but with an open lens rather than a dome bubble — which means no internal reflection from the infrared, a common cause of washed-out night images on cheap domes.

It is all-metal, cover and body, at Ø138.3 × 115.4 mm.

Choosing between the three

All three share the same image. Take the bullet for reach, the dome where it can be struck or where you need alarm terminals, and the turret for everything else — which is most installations.

Six megapixels across 114.8 degrees

3200 × 1800 on a 1/2.4" sensor with an F1.0 aperture, holding colour down to 0.001 lux before the 30 metres of infrared takes over.

That 114.8° horizontal view is wider than most cameras in this class, which manage around 100° — often the difference between one camera and two on a forecourt or shop floor.

What it will actually show you

The extra resolution buys coverage, not distance — identification stays under seven metres, because the wide lens spreads those pixels. For reach, a narrower lens matters more than more megapixels.

No IK rating. If the camera is within reach of someone determined, the dome version is IK10.

Frequently asked questions

Turret, bullet or dome?

Same image on all three. Bullet for 40m infrared, dome for IK10 and alarm terminals, turret for the lowest profile without a bubble — which suits most jobs.

Why does the open lens matter?

No dome bubble means no internal reflection from the infrared, a common cause of hazy night images.

How much PoE does it need?

8W on standard 802.3af — the lightest of the three.

Does it have audio?

A built-in microphone. No speaker, so it listens but does not talk back.
