The Hikvision DS-2CD6W65G1-IVS is the fisheye that goes outside — and the one built for corners. IP67, IK10, rated to −30°C, with invisible infrared so it works in complete darkness without showing a red glow.

Built for the places the indoor fisheyes cannot go

Our other panoramic cameras are indoor instruments, rated −10°C to +40°C with no weather protection. This one is different:

• IP67 — full weather protection
• IK10 — tested to a 20-joule impact, the highest rating in common use
• −30°C to +60°C — unheated buildings, loading bays, car parks, open yards
• All-metal housing at 213 × 200 × 138 mm

The shape is designed for corner and wall mounting, which is exactly where a panoramic camera earns its keep outdoors — one unit in the corner of a yard or a stairwell landing sees everything, with nothing behind it to miss.

Invisible infrared

It carries 940nm infrared to 15 metres. The wavelength matters: 940nm is invisible to the eye, unlike the usual 850nm which shows as a faint red glow. Nobody can see that the camera is illuminating them, and there is no light spill to annoy residents.

Before dark it holds colour down to 0.01 lux, so the infrared only comes in when it genuinely needs to.

Two lens options — and they are very different cameras

This is the decision that matters. The 1.16mm sees absolutely everything from one point but identifies only at 2.3 metres. The 2mm gives up half the view and more than doubles every useful distance — 50 metres of detection, identification at five.

For a corner where you want total awareness, take the 1.16mm. For a yard entrance or a car park corner where you need to know who as well as what, take the 2mm. Tell us the site and we will work it through with you.

Twenty views from one recording

The circular image dewarps into twenty display modes — 180° and 360° panorama, four virtual PTZ windows, fisheye plus three or eight PTZ, hemisphere, cylinder. Because the whole scene is always recorded, you can pull a virtual PTZ view out of past footage, which no conventional camera can do.

Analytics and interfaces

Line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and exit, scene change, defocus, unattended baggage and object removal detection all run on the camera. There is a built-in microphone, line in and line out, two alarm inputs and two outputs at 24V DC 1A, RS-485, and SIP support for VoIP integration.

It is also a HEOP 2.0 camera — 2 TOPS of onboard computing for custom models in Caffe, TensorFlow or PyTorch, if you are working with an integrator building bespoke analytics.

The lens choice is permanent and it changes the camera's job. Decide between total coverage and useful distance before ordering.

No retail analytics on this model. People counting, queue management and heat mapping are on the indoor /RC versions. This is a security camera, not a measuring instrument.

Can this one really go outside?

Yes — IP67, IK10 and rated −30°C to +60°C. It is the only fisheye in our range that can.

What is 940nm infrared?

Invisible infrared. The usual 850nm shows a faint red glow when it is on; 940nm does not, so the camera gives nothing away and there is no light spill.

Which lens should I choose?

1.16mm for a full 180° hemisphere with identification at 2.3m; 2mm for a 101° view with detection to 50m and identification at 5m. It depends whether you need total coverage or useful distance.
