The Hikvision DS-2CE10UF3T-LSYE is a 4K mini bullet with Smart Hybrid Light — the compact bullet in the same family as the DS-2CE72UF3T-LSYE turret, carrying both infrared and white light in a housing small enough to go almost anywhere.
Form factor is a practical decision, not a cosmetic one:
If you want something discreet that does not announce its direction, the turret version is the better choice. If you want a visible, aimed camera, this is it.
Like the rest of the family it carries both infrared and white light, so you choose discreet black-and-white or full colour after dark, or let it switch automatically.
The ranges are shorter than the turret, and that is the honest trade for the smaller body:
| This mini bullet | DS-2CE72UF3T-LSYE turret | |
|---|---|---|
| Infrared | 30 m | 40 m |
| White light | 20 m | 40 m |
For a driveway, a doorway, a yard entrance or a shop frontage, 20 metres of white light is ample. For a long yard or a car park row where you need colour at distance, the turret is the right camera — we would rather tell you that than sell you the wrong one.
The F1.0 aperture holds colour down to 0.0005 lux — roughly starlight — before illumination comes on at all. 130 dB true WDR handles a subject standing against a bright sky or doorway, which without it becomes a silhouette.
A built-in microphone with a 5-metre pickup radius sends audio over the coax alongside the video — no separate microphone run. With a PoC recorder you get video, power and sound on one cable per camera.
Recording audio carries its own legal considerations — see our FAQ on CCTV law.
4K records at 12.5–15fps, not 25. Drop to 3K for 20–25fps or 4MP for a full 25–30fps. Resolution usually matters more, but for a till or a busy doorway the lower resolution at higher frame rate can be the better record.
The lens is fixed — 2.8mm for width, 3.6mm for a little more reach. Choose before ordering.
Hikvision recommends one power adapter per camera rather than sharing a supply — or use a PoC recorder and sidestep it.
Same sensor, same features, shorter light range — 30m IR and 20m white light against 40m each on the turret. The bullet shape also aims visibly, which suits driveways and fence lines.
For a driveway, doorway, yard entrance or shop front, comfortably. For colour at longer range, choose the turret.
Yes — run it on infrared alone if visible light would trouble neighbours. You lose colour at night but keep the detail.
No. Audio travels over the coax, provided the recorder supports audio over coax.
Corrosion resistance beyond standard weatherproofing — worth having near the coast, on farms, or anywhere with salt or chemicals about.
