Hikvision DS-7732NI-M4/16P - 32 Channel 16 PoE 4 Bay 8K NVR

The Hikvision DS-7732NI-M4/16P is a 32-channel Ultra Series network video recorder in a 19-inch 1.5U rack chassis, with sixteen built-in PoE ports, four SATA bays and 320 Mbps of incoming bandwidth.

Read this before you order — the PoE only covers half the channels

This is a 32-channel recorder with 16 PoE ports. It is not a mistake in the specification and it catches people out: the first sixteen cameras can plug straight into the recorder and be powered by it, but channels 17 to 32 must come in over the network and be powered by a switch.

That makes it a good fit for a site being built in phases — sixteen cameras now, expanding later — or one where part of the coverage is close to the rack and the rest is out across the site. If all thirty-two cameras need powering from one place, budget for switches from the start.

Who is it for?

Larger sites: industrial units, schools, retail parks, multi-building estates. Thirty-two channels at 320 Mbps incoming with 400 Mbps outgoing, so several people can pull playback remotely without starving the recording.

That outgoing figure matters more than it looks. On a big system the pinch point is rarely writing footage — it is three managers and an insurer reviewing at once while the cameras keep recording.

Frequently asked questions

Can I power all 32 cameras from the recorder?

No. Sixteen PoE ports at 200 W total. Cameras 17 to 32 need a switch.

Does it come with hard drives?

No. Four SATA drives up to 16 TB each, supplied separately.

How does it compare to the plain DS-7732NI-M4?

Identical recorder; this one adds the sixteen PoE ports. If the site already has switches, the plain M4 is cheaper.

Can it record 32 cameras at full resolution?

Within the 320 Mbps incoming limit. Thirty-two 4 MP cameras at moderate frame rates fits; thirty-two 12 MP at 30 fps does not. Send us the camera list and we will check the bandwidth first.

Is it RAID capable?

No. Four independent disks. For RAID at this scale, ask about the DS-96000 series.
