Hikvision DS-7732NI-M4 - 32 Channel 4 Bay 8K NVR

The Hikvision DS-7732NI-M4 is a 32-channel Ultra Series network video recorder in a 19-inch 1.5U rack chassis, with four SATA bays, 320 Mbps of incoming bandwidth and support for cameras up to 32 MP.

Important — this model has no PoE ports

The plain M4 does not power cameras. It has two gigabit network ports and expects camera power to come from a PoE switch. At 32 channels that is usually the right architecture anyway — a site this size normally has structured cabling and a switch room — but it must be budgeted for.

Who is it for?

Larger sites: industrial units, schools, retail parks, multi-building estates. Thirty-two channels at 320 Mbps incoming, with 400 Mbps outgoing so multiple people can review footage remotely without starving the recording.

That outgoing figure is worth noting. On a big system the bottleneck is rarely recording — it is three managers and an insurer all pulling playback at once while the cameras keep writing. 400 Mbps out is what keeps that usable.

What you'll need with it

• PoE switches — thirty-two cameras is typically two 16-port switches or one 24-port plus a smaller one. Tell us the camera models and we will size them.
• Hard drives — none are supplied. Four bays at up to 16 TB. At 32 channels, storage is the constraint that decides your retention period — use our CCTV storage calculator before ordering.
• Rack space — 1.5U, 19-inch.

Frequently asked questions

Does it power my cameras?

No. This model has no PoE. You need switches, or the DS-7732NI-M4/16P which has sixteen PoE ports built in — note that still only covers half the channels.

Does it come with hard drives?

No. Four SATA drives up to 16 TB each, supplied separately.

Can it really record 32 cameras at full resolution?

Within the 320 Mbps incoming limit. Thirty-two 4 MP cameras at moderate frame rates fits comfortably; thirty-two 12 MP cameras at 30 fps does not. Send us the camera list and we will check the bandwidth before you commit.

How many can I play back at once?

16 channels synchronously.

Is it RAID capable?

No. Four independent disks. For RAID at this scale, ask us about the DS-96000 series.
