Ajax EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller - Wireless Fire Alarm Input/Output Module
EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller connects wired equipment to an Ajax EN54 wireless fire alarm. Its two inputs bring in signals from third-party wired devices, such as conventional detectors, call points, flow switches or another control panel, and its two relay outputs can switch equipment such as emergency lighting, gates or electric locks when the fire alarm acts. The module runs on batteries and reports to the EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller over the Jeweller radio, so the only wiring is between the module and the equipment beside it. If the module goes offline, runs flat or develops a fault, its fail-safe mode switches the connected devices on by itself. Choose black or white above.

What can I connect to the inputs?
Third-party wired devices such as detectors, call points, flow switches, magnetic contacts or another panel, wired NO, NC, EOL, 2EOL or 3EOL, with up to 100 m of cable.
What can the outputs switch?
Each relay output handles 10-250 V AC at up to 10 A, or 10-30 V DC at up to 5 A, with a resistive load. Typical uses are emergency lighting, gates and locks.
What happens if the module loses contact with the hub?
Fail-safe mode turns the connected devices on automatically if the module goes offline, its batteries run down or it develops a fault.
Does it need its own power supply?
No. It runs on the two CR123A batteries supplied, which Ajax calculates will last up to 5 years.
Are end-of-line resistors included?
Yes. Two sets of four EOL resistors come in the box.
Who should design the system?
In the UK a commercial fire alarm is normally designed, installed and commissioned to BS 5839-1 by a competent fire alarm installer. We supply the equipment; we do not install it.
