Ajax ReX 2 Jeweller - Wireless Range Extender
ReX 2 Jeweller extends the radio reach of an Ajax wireless alarm. Put it between the hub and devices that are too far away, or behind thick walls and floors, and it relays their signals in both directions: alarms, events and commands over Jeweller, and photos from Ajax camera detectors over Wings. A hub can take up to five ReX 2, and each one can carry up to 199 devices (the hub's own device limit still applies), so it suits larger homes, outbuildings and commercial units. It has an Ethernet port, runs from the mains with a built-in backup battery, and can be fitted with an optional low-voltage power board. Choose black or white above.

Works with
Ajax hubs and the Ajax Jeweller devices on them, including Ajax detectors with built-in cameras, whose photos it relays over Wings. Optional power boards: 6V PSU (type A) and 12-24V PSU (type A).
Common questions
When do I need a range extender?
When a detector, keypad or siren is too far from the hub, or the signal is weak through walls and floors. Fit ReX 2 at a point that both the hub and the distant devices can reach.
Does it pass on photos from camera detectors?
Yes. ReX 2 relays Wings as well as Jeweller, so photo verification from Ajax camera detectors works through it.
How many can I add to one system?
Up to five ReX 2 Jeweller per hub. Each can carry up to 199 devices, within the hub's own device limit.
What happens if the mains fails?
It switches to its built-in backup battery. It can also be run from 6 V DC or 12-24 V DC by fitting an Ajax power board (sold separately).
Can it go in a garage or outbuilding?
Ajax rates it for indoor use only (IP30), at -10 °C to +40 °C and humidity up to 75%.
Is there any difference between black and white?
Only the colour and the weight: 336 g in black and 364 g in white.
