Who is the THC-B259-MS for?

The top of HiLook’s ColorVu Lite coax range in a bullet: 5MP detail, 40m of white light and a built-in microphone. It is for the positions where a coax system needs to identify, not just see — the far end of a drive, the length of a yard, a car park approach — and to do it in colour after dark with sound. Twice the light range of the THC-B159-MS; the THC-T259-MS Grey is the same optics in a grey turret. For an IP system, the equivalent is the IPC-B149HA-LU.

What you’ll need with it

Is 40m of white light too bright for a house?

It can be — aim it into your own property and reduce brightness in the OSD. For a domestic frontage the 20m B159-MS is usually enough.

Will a 1080p DVR record it at 5MP?

No — it records at 1080p. Use a Q or U-series DVR.

Does it have infrared?
