Dahua DHI-NVR5432-16P-EI: 32 channel 16PoE WizSense NVR
The DHI-NVR5432-16P-EI is a 32-channel network video recorder from Dahua's WizSense NVR series. It has four hard-drive bays and 16 built-in PoE ports in a 1.5U rack case. It takes IP cameras up to 32MP. The recorder runs face recognition, perimeter protection and SMD Plus itself. With AI cameras it adds AcuPick search, metadata, ANPR and PPE detection. Who is it for?
It suits medium and large sites such as warehouses, schools, retail parks and offices. Up to 16 cameras plug straight into the recorder, and more can be added through a switch. Four drive bays give long retention.

What you will need
- Up to four surveillance-grade hard drives. Choose one from the Hard Drive option above, or supply your own (up to 20TB each).
- IP cameras (Dahua or ONVIF); cameras beyond the 16 PoE ports need a PoE switch
- An HDMI or VGA monitor for setup and local viewing
Frequently asked questions
How does it differ from the DHI-NVR5432-EI?
The DHI-NVR5432-EI has no PoE ports. The 16P-EI adds 16 PoE ports so cameras can plug straight in.
Can I record more than 16 cameras?
Yes. It records up to 32 cameras. The extra 16 connect through a network switch.
Is there a fee for the AI features?
No. The AI runs on the recorder and cameras, and remote viewing through the DMSS app has no subscription.
Does it come with hard drives?
It is sold without drives. You can add one from the Hard Drive option on this page.
