Who is the IPC-D149HAA-LU for?

The dome is the version of HiLook's 4MP ColorVu 3.0 camera to choose where the camera may be within reach or where you want the lens direction hidden: shop floors, communal hallways, stairwells, covered entrances, schools and offices. The enclosed dome protects the lens and makes it hard for anyone to see exactly where it is pointing. For open outdoor areas under eaves the IPC-T249HAA-LU turret is the more common pick, and for long directional views the IPC-B149HAA-LU bullet. Frequently asked questions

Does it really record in colour at night?

Yes. In white-light mode the built-in LEDs illuminate the scene so the image stays in full colour up to 30m. You can also set it to IR-only (black and white, no visible light) or to the smart mode, which stays on IR and switches to white light when an event is detected.

Will it work with my existing Hikvision NVR?

Yes. HiLook is Hikvision's own brand and the cameras use the same protocol, so they plug straight into Hikvision and HiLook NVRs. They also support ONVIF for third-party recorders.

Can I use it indoors and outdoors?
