Who is the IPC-T249HA-LU for?

This is the 4MP ColorVu turret with a built-in microphone — the camera to choose when you want colour footage at night and sound. Is the white light always on at night?

It comes on automatically when the scene gets too dark for colour and can be dimmed or scheduled in the camera menu. This model has no infrared, so switching the light off means a dark image.

Does it record sound on any NVR?

On HiLook and Hikvision NVRs, yes — enable audio on the channel. Third-party ONVIF recorders vary; check that they support audio streams.

How does it differ from the IPC-T249HAA-LU?

HA: white light only, built-in microphone. HAA (ColorVu 3.0): infrared and white light with a smart mode, no microphone. Same 4MP sensor and 2.8mm lens.
