The HiLook by Hikvision IPC-B120-D/W is a 2MP (1080p) Wi-Fi bullet camera with 30m infrared night vision that records to an on-board microSD card and streams to the HiLookVision or Hik-Connect app. It needs only a 12V power supply — no network cable, no recorder — which makes it the simplest way to put a proper outdoor camera on a garage, shed or side entrance. Who is the IPC-B120-D/W for?
Single-camera jobs and awkward locations where running Cat5 back to a recorder isn’t practical: detached garages, sheds, gates, holiday lets. Does it need a recorder?
No. It records to its own microSD card and you view live and recorded footage in the HiLookVision or Hik-Connect app. You can add it to an NVR later if you want.
Is it battery powered?
No — it needs a 12V DC supply. Only the video connection is wireless.
Is the night vision colour?
No, it uses infrared so night footage is black and white.
