The Hikvision DS-2XM6222G1-IM/ND is a 2 MP onboard IP camera for vehicle installation. It records at 1920 x 1080, reaches up to 30 m on infrared, and is rated IP68. This variant is powered entirely over PoE through a four-core M12 aviation plug, and weighs approximately 330 g.
What this camera is for
This is the IP version of the onboard camera range. It is powered entirely over PoE through a four-core M12 aviation plug, so it needs an onboard NVR with PoE ports (the AE-MN5043 or AE-MN7083) rather than a 12 V feed. The IP68 rating and EN50155 rail approval mean it is specified for exterior mounting on road and rail vehicles.

How is the DS-2XM6222G1-IM/ND powered?
Over PoE only, to 802.3af, through a four-core M12 aviation plug. This variant has no DC input, so it needs an onboard recorder with PoE ports rather than a 12 V or 24 V feed. The AE-MN5043 and AE-MN7083 mobile NVRs both provide that.
Will it connect to my existing recorder?
It is an IP camera, so it needs a mobile NVR rather than an analogue DVR. If your recorder is the AE-MD5043 or another analogue unit, you need a camera from the AE-VC analogue range instead. Call us on 01902 902251 with your recorder model and we will confirm before you order.
Can it be mounted outside the vehicle?
Yes. Hikvision rate it IP68 and list EN50155, EN45545 and E-MARK, so it is specified for exterior mounting on road and rail vehicles.
How far does the infrared reach?
Hikvision quote up to 30 m, using 850 nm infrared with smart supplement light.
Does it record on board?
There is a built-in Micro TF slot taking up to 256 GB. Hikvision ask that the card capacity is specified when ordering, and the card is not supplied as standard.
Does it have a microphone?
Hikvision do not list audio input or a built-in microphone for this model. If you need in-vehicle audio, ask us and we will point you to a model in the range that carries it.
How quickly can I get it?
