Hikvision DS-7732NXI-I4/16P/S(E) - 32 Channel 16 PoE 4 Bay AcuSense NVR

The Hikvision DS-7732NXI-I4/16P/S(E) is a 32-channel AcuSense network video recorder in a 19-inch 1.5U rack chassis, with sixteen built-in PoE ports, four SATA bays plus eSATA, AcuSearch and support for cameras up to 32 MP.

The PoE covers half the channels — plan for that

Thirty-two channels, sixteen PoE ports. Cameras 1 to 16 can plug straight into the recorder and be powered by it; channels 17 to 32 come in over the network and need a switch. That suits a site being built in phases, or one where half the cameras sit near the rack — but if all thirty-two need powering centrally, budget for switches from the start.

What the analytics actually do here

AcuSearch models up to 172,800 targets a day and lets you search recordings by what appeared in them rather than by time. On a 32-camera system recording continuously, that is the difference between finding an incident in a minute and losing a day to it.

ANPR is supported in the UK and Ireland with compatible cameras, reading plate number, colour and type alongside vehicle brand, colour and type. Face recognition holds 50,000 pictures across 16 libraries with 8-channel comparison, and can pick out attributes including glasses and masks. Perimeter protection and motion detection 2.0 run on all channels.

The recorder also records and presents heat map data from compatible cameras — useful in retail rather than security.

No — sixteen PoE ports at 200 W. Cameras 17 to 32 need a switch.

Does ANPR work on UK plates?

Yes, the United Kingdom and Ireland are both in the supported list. It needs compatible cameras — tell us your models and we will confirm.

Does it come with hard drives?

No. Four SATA drives up to 16 TB each, supplied separately.
