Hikvision DS-7732NXI-I4/16P/VPro - 32 Channel 16 PoE 4 Bay AcuSeek NVR

The Hikvision DS-7732NXI-I4/16P/VPro is a 32-channel network video recorder in a 1.5U rack chassis, with sixteen built-in PoE ports, four SATA bays and AcuSeek AI video search on a dedicated second engine.

The most recording bandwidth in the range — but read the outgoing figure

At 384 Mbps incoming this takes more camera bandwidth than anything else here, including the Ultra M-series. That is what lets thirty-two higher-resolution cameras record without being throttled.

The outgoing figure is 256 Mbps — lower than the incoming. It is the ceiling you meet first when several people review footage remotely at the same time while the cameras keep recording. On a site where two or three managers pull playback simultaneously, that is the number that decides whether it feels quick. Worth knowing before you specify, and it is not a figure competitors tend to publish.

The PoE covers half the channels

Thirty-two channels, sixteen PoE ports. Cameras 1 to 16 plug straight into the recorder; channels 17 to 32 need a switch. That fits a phased installation, but if all thirty-two need powering centrally, budget for switches from the start.

What AcuSeek actually changes

Ordinary recorders make you search by time. AcuSearch let you search by target type. AcuSeek lets you describe what you are looking for and returns the matching clips, in plain English, from the recorder itself. Two AI engines run it — one for face recognition and AcuSearch, a second dedicated to AcuSeek — modelling up to 300,000 targets a day.

What you'll need with it

• AcuSense cameras. AcuSeek and AcuSearch require cameras supporting Hikvision AcuSense with AcuSearch enabled. With older or third-party cameras you are paying for an engine you cannot use — send us your models and we will confirm first.
• A PoE switch for channels 17–32 if you are running all thirty-two.

Frequently asked questions

How is it different from the DS-7732NXI-I4/16P/S?

The S records at 256 Mbps and has no AcuSeek or second engine — 172,800 targets a day rather than 300,000, and 16 TB disks rather than 20 TB. This one adds the AI and half again the recording bandwidth.

Can I power all 32 cameras from it?

No — sixteen PoE ports at 200 W. Cameras 17 to 32 need a switch.

Do I need special cameras?

Yes for the AI features. It still records any ONVIF camera; you simply would not get the search.

Does it come with hard drives?

No. Four SATA drives up to 20 TB each, supplied separately.
