Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1509TP-A-LED-POC - 5MP 3K HDCVI PoC Full-Colour Turret CCTV Camera, Waterproof Outdoor Security Camera, Mic, White

Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1509TP-A-LED-POC — 5MP 3K HDCVI PoC Full-Colour Turret Eyeball CCTV Camera, White

The Dahua DH-HAC-HDW1509TP-A-LED-POC (also written HAC-HDW1509TP-A-LED-POC; Dahua's datasheet calls the model DH-HAC-HDW1509T-A-LED-POC) is the white version of Dahua's 5MP 3K full-colour HDCVI PoC turret CCTV camera, from Dahua's PoC Series. Dahua's own name for this housing is "eyeball". Two warm LED lights give a colour picture even in total darkness, a built-in microphone adds audio, and the camera can be powered over the coax cable from a PoC recorder (PoC works in CVI mode only) or from 12 VDC. Its IP67 rating (dust-tight and protected against immersion) makes it a waterproof camera and a weatherproof camera, and as an outdoor security camera it works from -40 °C to +60 °C. Please contact us for lens options. The grey version is listed separately.

Key features

• 5MP picture at up to 25 fps (2880 × 1620, 16:9, the size usually called 3K) from a 5MP CMOS sensor.
• Full-colour 24/7 imaging: warm supplemental LED lights reach up to 40m and work at 0 lux.
• 120 dB true WDR, 3D noise reduction and Super Adapt, which adjusts the image settings to changing conditions.
• Fixed lens, M12 mount, F1.0 (contact us for lens options).
• Built-in microphone, with the audio carried back over the coax cable.
• PoC (CVI mode only) or 12 VDC ±30% power; Dahua recommends RG59 or RG6 cable for PoC.
• Video output switchable between CVI, TVI, AHD and CVBS on one BNC port.
• IP67, working from -40 °C to +60 °C, with a metal casing.
• Up to 700m over coaxial cable and 300m over UTP for 2MP, 5MP and 8MP HD video (Dahua laboratory results).

Common questions

Is this a 3K camera?

Its maximum picture is 2880 × 1620 (5MP, 16:9), the size usually sold as 3K. Dahua lists 25 fps at 5MP over CVI.

How does the colour night picture work?

Two warm LED lights, up to 40m, light the scene so the camera keeps a colour picture even in total darkness (0 lux with the light on). By default it uses smart light mode, which adjusts exposure time and sensitivity so objects in the centre of the image are not overexposed.

Does it use infrared?

Dahua's datasheet lists warm LED lights as the illuminator and does not list infrared LEDs, so night pictures stay in colour.

How is it powered?

From a PoC recorder over the coax cable (PoC works in CVI mode only), or from 12 VDC ±30%. Dahua recommends RG59 or RG6 cable for PoC transmission.

Which recorder do I need?

To use the 5MP 16:9 picture, Dahua says the XVR firmware must be V4.001.0000001.0.R.200908 or later. Our Penta-brid recorders explained and HDCVI cameras explained guides cover recorders and cameras.

Does it record sound?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone, and HDCVI sends the audio back over the coaxial cable.

How far can I run the cable?

Dahua's laboratory results are up to 700m over coaxial cable and up to 300m over UTP cable for 2MP, 5MP and 8MP HD video.
