Dahua DH-HAC-HFW1800TP-A — 8MP 4K HDCVI IR Bullet CCTV Camera
The Dahua DH-HAC-HFW1800TP-A (also written HAC-HFW1800T-A, or DH-HAC-HFW1800TP-A-0280B with the 2.8mm lens) is an 8MP 4K real-time HDCVI infrared bullet CCTV camera from Dahua's Lite series. This is the white 2.8mm version, with a built-in microphone (the -A in the model name), Smart IR night vision up to 30m and an IP67 metal casing. Its maximum output is 3840 × 2160. HDCVI sends HD video over standard coax, so an existing analogue system can be upgraded to 4K without replacing the coaxial cabling.

Common questions
What does HDCVI mean?
HDCVI is Dahua's way of sending HD video over standard coax cable, so an analogue system can be upgraded without rewiring. See our guide to Dahua HDCVI cameras.
Is the DH-HAC-HFW1800TP-A a true 4K camera?
Yes. Its maximum output is 8MP at 3840 × 2160, at up to 25 fps over CVI. Over AHD and TVI the 4K output is 15 fps.
Which recorder does it need?
For the full 4K CVI signal the recorder must support 8MP (4K) HDCVI input, so check the recorder's datasheet; our Penta-brid recorder guide explains the options. The camera can also output TVI, AHD or CVBS from the same BNC port.
Does it have a microphone?
Yes. The -A in the model name means a built-in microphone, and Dahua lists one channel of built-in microphone.
How does it see at night?
It is an infrared camera with Smart IR up to 30 m, which adjusts the IR so close subjects are not overexposed. Minimum illumination is 0.03 lux at F2.0, or 0 lux with the IR on.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. It is rated IP67, protected against water and dust, and Dahua lists a working temperature of -40 °C to +60 °C.
Is there a cheaper or longer-range version?
The Dahua DH-HAC-HFW1500TP-A is the 5MP camera in the same body, and the Dahua DH-HAC-HFW1800THP-I4-0280B is an 8MP bullet with 40m IR.
