The DH-HAC-HFW1500TP-A-0280B-S2 is a 5MP HDCVI bullet camera from Dahua, fitted with a 2.8mm fixed lens and Smart IR for night-time coverage out to 30m. It supports switchable CVI, CVBS, AHD and TVI output, so it can be added to most existing analogue or HD-over-coax systems, and it has a built-in microphone for on-camera audio pickup.

Who is HDCVI for?

HDCVI sends HD video over standard coax — ideal for upgrading an existing coax-cabled analogue system without rewiring, and for very long cable runs where the 100m IP limit is a problem.

What you will need

• A Dahua HDCVI-compatible XVR or Penta-brid recorder to take full advantage of the 5MP HD signal — see our range of DVRs and XVRs.
• Standard RG59 coax cable for the video run, plus a separate 12V power feed to the camera.
• On multi-camera installs, a multi-way 12V PSU keeps power cabling tidy and avoids running individual plug packs to every camera.

Frequently asked questions

Which recorders is this camera compatible with?

It is designed for Dahua HDCVI and Penta-brid XVR recorders, which accept the CVI signal at full 5MP resolution. Most Penta-brid recorders will also accept the camera's CVBS, AHD or TVI output if you need to match a different recorder brand.

Can I mix this with my existing analogue cameras?

Yes. Because the output is switchable between CVI, CVBS, AHD and TVI, it can be added to many existing analogue systems on the same coax run without having to replace every camera at once.

How far can I run the cable?

HDCVI over RG59 coax is rated for much longer runs than a standard IP camera's 100m Ethernet limit, which is why it suits larger sites or properties with cameras a long way from the recorder.
