The Dahua DH-XVR7108HE-4K-I3 (also written XVR7108HE-4K-I3) is an 8 channel 4K Penta-brid WizSense XVR CCTV DVR (digital video recorder) with one hard drive bay. It is a hybrid DVR: one recorder takes HDCVI cameras up to 4K, AHD, TVI, CVBS and IP cameras, with up to 16 IP channels. Our guide to Dahua Penta-brid recorders explains how Penta-brid works.

What you will need
- A surveillance-grade hard drive (1 SATA bay, up to 16TB): choose one from the Hard Drive option on this page, or fit your own.
- HDCVI, AHD, TVI or CVBS cameras with coax cabling and power, and/or IP cameras.
- An HDMI or VGA monitor; use HDMI for 4K viewing.
Common questions
Does it record 4K on every channel?
With Encode Enhancement off, all channels record 4K at up to 15 fps. With Encode Enhancement on, channels 1 and 5 record 4K at up to 30 fps; Dahua notes that AI functions cannot then be used.
Can I use AI and IP extension together?
No. Dahua states that after IP extension is enabled, EPTZ, video quality analytics, face recognition, SMD, perimeter protection, QuickPick 2.0 and privacy protection cannot be used. See our guide to Dahua WizSense.
How much storage can I fit?
One SATA port, up to 16TB. Dahua notes the limit varies with environment temperature.
