Hikvision DS-KAD7061EY — 4-way 2-wire HD splitter for indoor stations

The DS-KAD7061EY solves a common 2-wire problem: one channel from the distributor, several handsets wanted in the flat. It splits a single two-wire run into four indoor station connections, with two further cascade ports, in a box small enough (70.6 × 60 × 25 mm) to sit behind a station or in a back box. It draws under 2 W.

Hikvision's current 2-wire range comes in two families that use different buses: the 2-wire IP (Y) series and the 2-wire HD (EY) series. Distributors, door stations and indoor stations are designed to be used within their own family. Typical use

A three-bedroom flat wants a handset in the hall, the kitchen and the main bedroom. Rather than use three distributor channels, one channel from the DS-KAD7060EY comes into the flat, lands on the DS-KAD7061EY, and three short two-wire runs go out to the three DS-KH7300EY-TE2 stations. All three ring on a call and any one can answer and release the door.

Small, passive, surface-mounted

Six indicators show which ports are live. It is surface-mounted and draws almost nothing — the datasheet gives ≤ 2 W — so it adds negligible load to the channel that feeds it. Note the distributor channel rating when planning how many stations sit downstream of one splitter.

Do all the connected stations ring together?

Stations on the same flat channel are extensions of one another — a call rings on all of them and any can answer. Configuration is done on the stations.
