The Ruijie RG-CS83-24GT4XS-P is a Layer 3 managed access switch with 24 10/100/1000BASE-T ports that all support PoE/PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af/at) and four 1GE/10GE SFP+ ports for uplinks. It has a fixed built-in power supply and a 370 W PoE output limit.

What the RG-CS83-24GT4XS-P is for

Ruijie position the RG-CS83 series for gigabit access in business systems such as medical care, libraries and exhibition centres. The -P model adds PoE: all 24 RJ45 ports supply PoE/PoE+, so access points, IP cameras and similar devices can be powered from the switch, with the four SFP+ ports carrying uplinks at 1G or 10G.

Plan around the PoE budget. Each port provides up to 30 W, but the maximum across the switch is 370 W, so it will not run all 24 ports at 30 W (that would need 720 W). It fits 24 devices at the 15.4 W standard PoE (802.3af) limit (369.6 W), or fewer devices drawing up to 30 W each. Devices that need more than 30 W per port (802.3bt PoE++) are outside what this switch supplies.

As a Layer 3 switch it holds up to 6,000 IPv4 and 2,000 IPv6 unicast routes, with 128 Gbps switching capacity, 96 Mpps forwarding and VSU support for up to 4 member switches. What you will need

A mains supply (100 V AC to 240 V AC) and rack or shelf space for a 1 RU unit, 442 mm wide and 220 mm deep. Powered devices must take IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at power and their combined draw must stay within 370 W. The four SFP+ ports need SFP or SFP+ modules or direct-attach cables, which Ruijie's ordering line does not list, plus network cable to each device.
