The RG-ES05G-L is a small unmanaged switch with five 10/100/1000 Mbps gigabit RJ45 ports and no PoE output. It works without configuration, and Ruijie suggest it for a home office, cafe, retail or surveillance network.

What the RG-ES05G-L is for

Ruijie describe the RG-ES05G-L as a plug and play unmanaged network switch with gigabit speed, so there is nothing to configure before use. Its five ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbps and the switching capacity is 10 Gbps. Ruijie rate its operating temperature as 0°C to 45°C.

It does not supply PoE, so any powered device on it, such as an access point or camera, needs its own power supply or a PoE injector. It can appear on Ruijie Cloud, but only if at least one managed switch is on the same network.

What you will need

You need network cable for each device and a power source for the switch. It gives no PoE, so IP cameras or access points must be powered separately, for example with a PoE injector. To see it on Ruijie Cloud, at least one managed switch must be on the same network.
