The Ruijie Reyee RG-ES209MG-P is a Layer 2 cloud managed PoE switch with eight 2.5G RJ45 ports and one 10GE SFP+ uplink port. Ruijie pitch it at Wi-Fi 7 networks, with 2.5G available on every RJ45 port.

What the RG-ES209MG-P is for

Every RJ45 port on the RG-ES209MG-P runs at up to 2.5 Gbps (10/100/1000/2500BASE-T) and supplies PoE/PoE+ under 802.3af/at. Ruijie's page ties this to Wi-Fi 7 networks, with higher internal throughput at peak hours. Switching capacity is 60 Gbps and forwarding rate 45 Mpps.

The single 10GE SFP+ port is the uplink, and link aggregation of up to 4 ports is supported. A PoE watchdog is supported. The 130 W PoE budget is shared across the eight ports, so add up the draw of every device first.

What you will need

You need an SFP+ module or cable for the 10G uplink, as Ruijie's page lists none, and a 10G SFP+ port at the other end; a 1G SFP module will not run at 10G. Powered devices such as access points must fit within the 130 W budget, and each port supplies up to 30 W (802.3at). Use suitable network cable for the 2.5G links. Ruijie's page lists no box contents, so ask us if you need to confirm the power supply.
