The Hikvision DS-2CD2047G3-LI2UY is a compact 4MP mini bullet with Smart Hybrid Light — and the most light-sensitive camera in the entire G3 range.

0.0001 lux — five times more sensitive than the flagship

The F1.0 aperture is the widest in the range, and it shows in the one figure that matters after dark:

Ten times more sensitive than the standard models and five times more than the flagship. In practice that means it holds full colour deeper into the night before any illumination is needed at all — under streetlight spill, moonlight, or the glow from a window.

The trade-off for that huge aperture is a fixed lens. There is no Z in the model number, so you choose the focal length when you order and set the view by aiming the camera.

Both kinds of night vision, to 40 metres

Smart Hybrid Light carries white light and infrared together. Run it on IR for discreet monochrome where a visible light would trouble neighbours, on white light for full colour, or let it switch automatically when something is detected.

It hears, and it talks back

Two arrayed microphones with noise filtering, and a speaker up to 110 dB — so you can listen and speak through it, or play a recorded warning. AcuSense classifies people and vehicles on the camera, so that only happens for things that matter.

What it will actually show you

Identification under seven metres — normal for 4MP. This is a camera for a door, a gate or a driveway, not for the far side of a yard. If you need reach, the 2.8–12mm zoom model identifies at 15 metres.

Worth knowing before you order

The lens is fixed. 2.8mm for width, 4mm for a little more reach — decide before ordering, because it cannot be changed afterwards.

Minimum focus is 2.5 metres at 2.8mm. Mounted directly above a doorway at head height the image will be soft; give it some standoff.

It needs 802.3at PoE — up to 16W. An 802.3af switch will not run it.

There is no alarm input or output on this model — no S in the model number. For terminals, see the G3 mini dome. The /SL and /SRB variants of this camera add a strobe.

Frequently asked questions

What does 0.0001 lux actually mean?

It is the light level at which the camera still produces a colour image. This is roughly starlight — so in most real settings it stays in colour without needing its own light at all.

What is Smart Hybrid Light?

Both infrared and white light in one camera. Use IR for discretion, white light for colour, or let it switch automatically. Our model numbers guide decodes the LI in the model name.

Can I speak through it?

Yes — two microphones and a speaker give two-way audio through Hik-Connect or a compatible NVR.

Does it have a strobe?

Not this model. The /SL variant adds a white strobe and the /SRB a red and blue one.

Which lens should I choose?

2.8mm covers 111° for a driveway or forecourt; 4mm narrows to 95° with slightly more reach. It is fixed, so choose before ordering.
