Who is this 4MP mini dome kit for?

The coax kit with detail: a 4-in-1 HD-TVI DVR recording up to 4MP/5MP, with 4MP mini dome cameras and 20m infrared. Twice the pixel detail of a 1080p kit means faces and plates at short range are identifiable, so it suits shops, receptions, hallways and small yards where the recording has to stand up as evidence — all on existing RG59 or new coax runs. The DVR also takes TVI, AHD, CVI and analogue cameras on any channel and streams to the HiLookVision or Hik-Connect app. Choose the camera count for the positions you need; 4-channel kits take up to four cameras, 8-channel up to eight. For areas deeper than 20m, the 4MP 40m dome kits; on a tighter budget, the 1080p mini dome kits. Cabling from new? Consider the 4MP IP kits.

What you’ll need with it

• A surveillance-grade hard drive — from the options, fitted and formatted by us; 2TB for four 4MP cameras, 4TB for eight.
• RG59 coax and 12V power to each camera, and a 12V multi-way PSU — the DVR does not power cameras.
• A network cable from the DVR to your router for the app.

Frequently asked questions

Does it record at full 4MP?

Yes — the DVR in this kit supports 4MP on TVI, unlike older 1080p-only recorders.

Can I add my existing cameras?

Yes — analogue, TVI, AHD and CVI auto-detect per channel.

Is the night vision in colour?

No — infrared. HiLook ColorVu Lite TVI cameras can be added for colour at night.
