Ajax EN54 FireProtect (VAD) Jeweller - Wireless Visual Alarm Device
EN54 FireProtect (VAD) Jeweller is a wireless addressable visual alarm device (VAD) for the Ajax EN54 fire alarm system. It gives a flashing light warning of fire, which helps where a sounder may not be heard, such as noisy areas or for people with hearing loss. It flashes for 90 ms every 2 seconds and talks to EN54 Fire Hub Jeweller over the encrypted Jeweller radio, reporting faults, low battery, tamper and loss of connection. Ajax recommends fitting it at up to 3 m on a ceiling or up to 2.4 m on a wall. With an IP54 rating and an operating range of -10 °C to +60 °C, it is designed for indoor and outdoor use. Four CR123A batteries, fitted at the factory, run it for up to 5 years. Choose black, red or white above.
Also listed as 118606 (black), 118607 (red) and 118605 (white). Ajax model ID FP.54V.J.
