Ajax KeyPad Jeweller - Wireless Touch Keypad
KeyPad Jeweller is a battery-powered touch keypad for setting and unsetting an Ajax wireless alarm. It talks to the hub over Jeweller, the two-way Ajax radio, so no cable is needed, and it can be placed up to 1,700 m from the hub in open space. People use it by code: it holds up to 200 personal codes and one shared keypad code, and a duress code lets someone appear to disarm under threat while the system sends a silent alarm. It has no card reader, so if you want users to tap a card or fob, look at KeyPad Plus Jeweller instead. Choose black or white above.

Works with
Ajax hubs and range extenders with Jeweller radio, such as Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller, Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller, Hub 2 Plus Jeweller and ReX 2 Jeweller. It does not read Pass cards or Tag key fobs.
Common questions
Can users tap a card or key fob on it?
No. KeyPad Jeweller works by code only. For Pass cards and Tag key fobs, Ajax makes KeyPad Plus Jeweller, which has a built-in reader.
What is a duress code?
It is a code a user enters if they are forced to disarm. The system appears to switch off but sends a silent alarm. Each user can have one, and so can the keypad.
How long do the batteries last?
Ajax rates it at up to 2 years on the four AAA batteries that come fitted.
What happens if someone tries to guess a code?
After more than 3 wrong codes in a row within 1 minute it locks for between 3 and 180 minutes. An installer or admin user sets the time in the Ajax app.
How far from the hub can it go?
Up to 1,700 m in open space. Walls and floors cut this down inside a building, and a Jeweller range extender such as ReX 2 Jeweller can add distance.
Can it be fitted outside?
No. It is for indoor use only, at -10 °C to +40 °C. For an outdoor position, Ajax makes KeyPad Outdoor Jeweller.
