HIKVISION iDS-7204HUHI-K1/4S(B) 4 channel AcuSense TVI Turbo 5.0 5MP DVR

The Hikvision iDS-7204HUHI-K1/4S(B) is a 4-channel Turbo HD DVR (digital video recorder) in the 5MP AcuSense class. It records HD analogue CCTV cameras on coax cable, and can also take IP cameras: 2-ch (up to 6-ch). It has one hard drive bay (up to 10 TB), plus AcuSense human and vehicle detection, audio over coax on all 4 channels and a 2K HDMI output. You can watch live and recorded video on a monitor or on your phone with the free Hik-Connect app.

• Outputs: HDMI 1-ch up to 2K (2560×1440)/60Hz; VGA 1-ch up to 1920×1080/60Hz; HDMI/VGA simultaneous; CVBS 1-ch BNC
• IP cameras: 2-ch (up to 6-ch); Enhanced IP mode on: 4-ch (up to 8-ch), each up to 4 Mbps. The higher number uses Enhanced IP mode, which Hikvision says may conflict with the smart detection features.
• Smart detection: AcuSense: Motion Detection 2.0 (human/vehicle classification) on all analogue channels by default; perimeter protection (line crossing/intrusion) with human/vehicle analysis up to 4-ch; facial detection/capture 1-ch (HD analogue camera). Only one of Motion Detection 2.0, perimeter protection and facial detection can be enabled at a time. Enhanced IP mode may conflict with smart events.
• 8MP cameras are supported on channel 1 only.

How to read the model code: HQHI = 1080p/4MP-lite class, HUHI = 5MP class, HTHI = 8MP (4K) class. K1 = one hard drive bay, K2 = two. /P = power over coax. iDS…/4S(B) = AcuSense smart detection. More in our Hikvision model numbers explained guide.

What else do I need?

• A hard drive. This recorder takes one 3.5" SATA drive, up to 10 TB. See our CCTV hard drives, and use the CCTV storage calculator to work out how many days you will get.
• Cameras. HD analogue (Turbo HD) cameras on coax, see HD analogue cameras. Each camera needs 12V power, unless you choose a PoC recorder.
• A screen with HDMI or VGA, plus a network connection if you want to view on your phone with the Hik-Connect app.
