The Hikvision DS-7216HUHI-K2 is a 16-channel Turbo HD DVR (digital video recorder) in the 5MP class. It records HD analogue CCTV cameras on coax cable, and can also take IP cameras: 16-ch (up to 32-ch). It has two hard drive bays (up to 10 TB each), plus a 4K HDMI output. You can watch live and recorded video on a monitor or on your phone with the free Hik-Connect app.

How to read the model code: HQHI = 1080p/4MP-lite class, HUHI = 5MP class, HTHI = 8MP (4K) class. K1 = one hard drive bay, K2 = two. /P = power over coax. iDS…/4S(B) = AcuSense smart detection. More in our Hikvision model numbers explained guide.
What else do I need?
- A hard drive. This recorder takes two 3.5" SATA drives, up to 10 TB each. See our CCTV hard drives, and use the CCTV storage calculator to work out how many days you will get.
- Cameras. HD analogue (Turbo HD) cameras on coax, see HD analogue cameras. Each camera needs 12V power, unless you choose a PoC recorder.
- A screen with HDMI or VGA, plus a network connection if you want to view on your phone with the Hik-Connect app.
