Dahua DHI-NVR616R-128-4KS2 - 128 Channel 4K NVR
The Dahua DHI-NVR616R-128-4KS2 is a 128 channel 4K NVR: a 3U Ultra series network video recorder, or CCTV recorder, for large IP camera systems. It handles access, storage or forwarding at 384 Mbps, has 16 hot-swap SATA III bays for hard drives of up to 10 TB each with RAID support, two HDMI outputs with 4K display, and a redundant power supply. Dahua describes the series as suited to public safety, transportation stations, government institutions, hotels, shopping malls, city centres and financial institutions.

What you will need
- Surveillance-grade hard drives (16 SATA III bays, up to 10 TB each): choose one from the Hard Drive option on this page, or fit your own. RAID is optional.
- IP cameras, plus a PoE switch or separate power supplies for them, as the datasheet lists no PoE ports for this recorder.
- An HDMI or VGA monitor for setup and local viewing.

Up to 128 IP cameras. Maximum bandwidth is 384 Mbps for access, storage and forwarding, and Dahua lists recording resolutions up to 12MP.
Does it have PoE ports?
The Dahua datasheet lists no PoE ports for this model, so power the cameras from a PoE switch or their own supplies.
How much storage can I fit, and does it support RAID?
Sixteen SATA III ports, up to 10 TB for a single HDD, with hot-swap support. Dahua lists RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 (optional), plus an eSATA port and a Mini SAS port for storage expansion. Choose hard drives from the Hard Drive option on this page, or choose recorder only.
Can it record cameras from other brands?
