The Hikvision DS-PDMCX-E-WE is the AX PRO outdoor magnetic contact — built for gates, outbuildings and external doors that an indoor contact was never designed to survive.

Why an outdoor-rated contact

The indoor door contacts in the AX PRO range aren't rated for genuine outdoor exposure. This one is: a larger sensor and magnet body, sealed to IP66, and tolerant of a wider gap between the two halves than an indoor contact allows — useful on a gate that doesn't sit as precisely as a door frame.

A wired input built in

Alongside its own magnetic sensing, it carries an auxiliary wired alarm input — normally open, normally closed or pulse count — so a shock sensor or a second wired device on the same gate can report through this contact's radio rather than needing its own transmitter.

76 mm detection gap

Tolerates up to 76 mm between sensor and magnet — generous enough for gates and doors that don't close with the precision of an internal frame.

Five years on one battery

A single CR123A cell gives up to five years standby, and the unit is rated −20°C to +60°C — wider than the indoor contacts, reflecting genuine outdoor temperature swings.

Radio built for alarms

Tri-X two-way wireless at 868 MHz, AES-128 encryption, frequency hopping, free-space range 1.6 km. Front and rear tamper.

Worth knowing before you order

This is the outdoor contact, not the indoor one. For a standard internal door or window use the smaller indoor DS-PDMC-EG2-WE(B) instead — this larger, IP66 unit is sized and rated for genuine outdoor use.

It needs an AX PRO panel. Part of the AX PRO system only.
