The Hikvision DS-PM1-I16O2-WE is a mains-powered 16-input, 2-output expander that brings an entire existing wired system onto the AX PRO wireless network in one unit, rather than converting devices one at a time.

Migrate a wired system without rewiring it

Replacing an old wired panel usually means either ripping out working cable runs or living with two separate systems. This expander is the alternative: wire your 16 existing zones — PIRs, contacts, whatever is already run to the old panel — into its terminals, and every one of them reports through AX PRO as if it were a native wireless device. The cabling stays; only the panel changes.

Configurable end-of-line resistance

Supports 1k, 2.2k, 4.7k and 8.2k end-of-line resistor values in both NO and NC configurations — so it matches whatever resistor scheme the existing wired zones were set up with, rather than forcing a rewire to fit one standard.

Genuine mains cabinet with battery backup

Unlike the small battery-powered AX PRO transmitters, this is a 100–240 V AC mains unit housed in a proper enclosure, with a bay for a 12 V 7 Ah backup battery giving up to 36 hours of standby if mains power fails — the same standard expected of a wired panel, brought into the wireless system.

Worth knowing before you order

The backup battery is not included. Fit a 12 V 7 Ah sealed lead-acid battery of the stated dimensions.

This is a wall cabinet, not a small transmitter. At 261 × 199 × 86.4 mm it needs proper wall space, unlike the pocket-sized single-input transmitter. Use that instead for converting one or two individual devices.
