Exactly what is in the box

There is no sounder in this kit

Worth stating plainly, because Kit 1 and Kit 2 both include one. This box has no external sounder, one PIR rather than two, and one key fob rather than two.

Most installations will need a sounder. An alarm nobody can hear is a poor deterrent, and many insurers expect an audible device. Add a DS-PS1-E-WE unless the system is monitored with no local audible requirement.

Who it is for

This kit suits an installer specifying to the building. You get the panel — the expensive component — plus enough devices to commission and test, then add exactly what the site needs.

On a job wanting four PIRs, two contacts and a sounder, the starter kit plus the right devices usually beats a larger kit with parts left over.

Worth knowing before you order

No sounder, one PIR, one fob. Budget for what the site actually needs.

For a ready-to-fit bundle, Kit 1 or Kit 2 add a sounder, a second PIR and either a second fob or a keypad.

The panel battery will not charge below 10°C. Site it in a heated space with the adapter connected.

Indoor only, −10°C to +55°C. The 12-hour battery is backup, not a power source.

Does it include a siren?

No — there is no external sounder. Add a DS-PS1-E-WE, or choose Kit 1 or Kit 2 which include one.
