Video and text are turned into matching features, so a sentence becomes a search. It handles combinations ("person wearing a yellow raincoat"), negatives ("people without safety helmets") and text in the picture, all on the NVR, with no public cloud and no internet needed except for remote viewing.

About 2.5–3 m high with a slight downward angle. People should fill a reasonable part of the frame; a figure a few pixels tall can't be classified.
✏️ Use the AI rules
Use SIP (line crossing or intrusion) with person/vehicle selected, or UMD on IQ NVRs. Draw zones over your property, not the public pavement.
⚖️ Mind the law
Faces and number plates are personal data under UK GDPR. For face recognition or ANPR, do a data protection impact assessment and follow the ICO's CCTV guidance.

Orders are dispatched for delivery within 1–2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales, or collect from our Wolverhampton trade counter, where you can see AI cameras running live. Tri-Guard cameras combine Smart Intrusion Prevention, ColorHunter and Active Deterrence. Many Uniview IP cameras sold as AI or Intelligent (LightHunter and OwlView models) support people and vehicle detection. On the recorder side, IQ, IM and IX series NVRs add AI too.
What is Uniview SeekFree?
SeekFree is text-based video search built on the Uniview Large Model. You type what you are looking for, such as a white pickup truck near the barn, and the NVR returns matching clips in seconds. It runs on the recorder, works with Uniview cameras and third-party cameras with SIP or UMD, and supports English and 20+ other languages in the app.
What is Uniview AcuSearch?
AcuSearch lets you draw a box around a person or vehicle in live or recorded video, then finds the same target across connected cameras using features such as clothing colour, hats and bags, or vehicle type and colour. Matching runs on the local NVR.
What is Smart Intrusion Prevention (SIP)?
SIP is Uniview's deep-learning perimeter detection. It tells people and cars apart from leaves, birds, dogs and light changes, and alerts only when a person or vehicle enters a restricted zone or crosses a line.
What is Tri-Guard?
Tri-Guard is a Uniview camera series that combines three protections: Smart Intrusion Prevention, ColorHunter colour night imaging, and Active Deterrence with flashing lights and an audio warning.
What is the difference between IQ, IM and IX NVRs?
IQ series NVRs run basic smart functions: face detection, SIP and Ultra Motion Detection. IM series add video metadata. IX series are built for projects with over 20 analytic algorithms, and SeekFree is listed on IX models such as the NVR502-32E-IX-G and NVR804-16-IX-G.
Does Uniview AI need the cloud or a subscription?
No. SIP, AcuSearch and SeekFree run on the camera or NVR, and Uniview says video is not sent to a public cloud. Alerts reach your phone through the free UNV-Link app.
