The NVR502-08B-P8-IQ records up to eight IP cameras on its 8 built-in PoE ports. Its specification lists Smart Intrusion Prevention (SIP), Ultra Motion Detection (UMD) and face detection run by the NVR, so some analytics can happen on the recorder rather than in the camera.

Choose the NVR502-08B-P8-IQ when you want an 8-channel PoE recorder that can add SIP, UMD or face detection to cameras. With ordinary cameras it can analyse up to 4 channels for SIP (4 x 2MP, 2 x 4MP or 1 x 4K) and up to 8 for UMD (8 x 2MP, 4 x 4MP or 2 x 4K). Only one analyser mode can be active at a time.
PoE ports supply up to 30 W each (IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af) with a 130 W total. Incoming bandwidth is 320 Mbps with Smart Off and 160 Mbps with Smart On, so check your cameras' combined bitrate if you switch the analytics on. Search tools include AcuSearch and AcuTrack with UNV SIP/UMD cameras.

What you will need
Add surveillance hard drives surveillance hard drives; none are listed as supplied and there are 2 SATA bays taking up to 24 TB each. Connect PoE cameras with network cable to the 8 PoE ports and power the recorder from AC 100 to 240 V. Check your cameras' total draw against the 130 W budget, and use a PoE switch if you need more. A monitor connects by HDMI or VGA.
