The NVR502-08B-P8 is a Uniview network video recorder with 8 IP video channels and 8 built-in PoE ports, so compatible PoE cameras can plug straight into the recorder without a separate switch. It records to up to two SATA hard drives.

What the NVR502-08B-P8 is for

Choose the NVR502-08B-P8 for a small IP camera system of up to eight cameras that plug into the recorder's own PoE ports. Each port supplies up to 30 W (IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af) and the total PoE budget is 130 W, so add up your cameras' power draw against that figure before ordering.

It decodes Ultra 265, H.265 and H.264, accepts 320 Mbps of incoming bandwidth and sends out 160 Mbps, with recording resolutions up to 16 MP. Smart events come from the cameras themselves (Smart by IPC), such as face detection, vehicle detection (LPR) and SIP, up to 8 images per second in total.

What you will need

Add one or two surveillance hard drives surveillance hard drives for recording, as none are listed as supplied; there are 2 SATA bays taking up to 24 TB each. Connect PoE cameras with network cable to the 8 PoE ports and power the recorder from a mains supply (AC 100 to 240 V). If a camera needs more than 30 W, or your cameras total more than 130 W, use a PoE switch for the extra load. You also need an HDMI or VGA monitor.
