Ajax ExternalAntenna - Cellular and Radio Antenna (104117)
ExternalAntenna gives a compatible Ajax hub or range extender a way to take its signal from a better spot than the one it is mounted in, such as out of a metal cabinet or away from a thick wall. It screws onto one of the device's antenna sockets with an SMA plug, its 3 m cable is led out through the holes in the device's casing, and the slim antenna is then stuck in place with the adhesive pad that comes already fitted. The same antenna covers the 2G, 3G and LTE mobile bands and the Jeweller and Wings radio channels. If it is snapped off or the cable is damaged, the Ajax system notices and alerts the users and the monitoring company.

Which Ajax devices can I fit it to?
Ajax lists antenna sockets on Hub BP Jeweller, Superior Hub G3 Jeweller, Superior MegaHub, Superior Hub Hybrid 2, Superior Hub Hybrid (4G) (without casing) and Superior ReX G3 Jeweller. Ajax does not list antenna sockets for Hub 2 (2G), Hub 2 (4G) or Hub 2 Plus, so check your hub before you order.
How many antennas do I need?
Each ExternalAntenna has one SMA plug, so it serves one socket. A hub with separate Jeweller, Wings and 4G (LTE) sockets needs one antenna for each channel you want to bring outside the casing.
Will the system know if someone cuts it?
Yes. The Ajax system detects a broken external antenna and sends a notice to the users and to the monitoring company.
How is it fixed in place?
It has a double-sided adhesive pad already applied. The 3 m cable lets you place it where reception is better, away from metal cabinets or thick walls.
