Ajax StreetSiren Jeweller - Wireless Outdoor Siren

StreetSiren Jeweller is the wireless external siren for an Ajax alarm. Its housing is rated IP54 and works from -25 °C to +60 °C, so it can be fitted on an outside wall, and it sounds at up to 113 dB. The LED flashes during an alarm, and the siren can also signal arming, entry and exit delays and a door chime. An accelerometer reports any attempt to move it or prise it off the wall, and opening the case sets off the tamper. It runs for up to five years on four CR123A batteries that come fitted, or from an external 12 V supply. Choose white or black above.

Is it suitable for an outside wall?

Yes. Ajax rates it IP54 for indoor and outdoor use, from -25 °C to +60 °C with humidity up to 95%. The recommended fitting height is 2.5 m or more.

What happens if someone tries to pull it off the wall?

Its accelerometer picks up the siren being moved, shaken or detached, and the tamper reports the case being opened. Both send an alarm to the hub.

Does it need a mains or 12 V supply?

No. It runs for up to 5 years on four CR123A batteries that come fitted. If you prefer, it can take an external DC supply of 6 to 20 V (12 V nominal).

How loud is it?

Up to 113 dB at 1 m. The level can be set from 85 dB upwards in the Ajax app, and the alarm can last from 3 seconds to 3 minutes.

What is the Wings radio used for on this siren?

Firmware updates. Alarms and commands use the Jeweller radio, which reaches up to 1,500 m in open space.
