- One line in, one line out, fitted at any point on a Fibra line with 4-core cable.
- Reports the type of attack so users and the monitoring company know what happened.
- Security Grade 3, environmental class II; made to fit inside an Ajax Case (sold separately).
Ajax Superior LineProtect Fibra - Fibra Line Protection Module
Superior LineProtect Fibra is a small circuit board for wired Ajax systems that use Fibra lines. You fit it on the line between the hub and the devices you want to look after. If someone shorts the cable, hits it with a stun gun or connects mains voltage to it, the module protects the devices on its output side and the system tells users and the monitoring company which kind of interference it found. An Ajax siren on the system can also flag an alarm on the output line with its buzzer and LED frame. The board belongs to the Ajax Superior range, is certified to Security Grade 3 and is meant to be housed in an Ajax Case enclosure, which is sold separately.
Also listed as 61384. Ajax model ID LP.Y.F.
Key features
- Protects devices further down a Fibra line from short circuits, stun gun strikes, 110/230 V mains voltage and overvoltage on the signal wires.
- One Fibra input line and one output line, with cable runs of up to 2,000 m.
- Can be added at any point on a Fibra line, wired with 4-core cable.
- Tells the system what type of interference it detected, and the system passes this on to users and the security company.
- Connector for the tamper board that comes with an Ajax Case, so opening the enclosure raises a tamper alarm.
- Device authentication against spoofing, and loss of connection reported after 36 seconds.
- Security Grade 3 and environmental class II, certified by TREZOR TEST s.r.o. For indoor fitting.

Works with
Ajax hubs with Fibra lines: Superior Hub Hybrid (2G), Superior Hub Hybrid (4G), Superior Hub Hybrid 2 and Superior MegaHub. Ajax Superior Fibra wired devices on the same line. An Ajax Case enclosure (sold separately) for mounting and the tamper board. To branch one Fibra line into four, see Superior LineSplit Fibra.
Common questions
What does LineProtect Fibra protect against?
Short circuits on the cable, stun gun strikes, mains voltage (110/230 V) connected to the line and overvoltage on the Fibra signal wires. The devices on its output side are the ones it protects.
Where on the line does it go?
Anywhere on a Fibra line. It has one input and one output, takes 4-core cable and supports cable runs of up to 2,000 m. Fit it before the devices you most want to protect.
Does it need an enclosure?
It is a bare board for indoor use. Ajax recommends fitting it in an Ajax Case, sold separately in several sizes. The Case also carries the tamper board that plugs into the module.
How is it different from Superior LineSplit Fibra?
LineSplit Fibra divides one Fibra line into four. LineProtect Fibra keeps one line and protects the devices after it from sabotage.
Is it suitable for graded systems?
Yes. Ajax lists it at Security Grade 3 and environmental class II under EN 50131, certified by TREZOR TEST s.r.o.
