Thirty-two channel DVRs for industrial units, retail parks, distribution centres and multi-building estates — the largest coax recorders in the range, and the point where a site runs on one machine rather than several.

They also take IP cameras on top of the coax: the four-bay models accept up to 64 network cameras, so a site part-way through moving from coax to IP can run up to 96 cameras from a single recorder.

Three things to check before you specify

Outgoing bandwidth, not just incoming. These models record at 200 to 320 Mbps but send out less — 160 to 256 Mbps. The outgoing figure is what limits you when several people review footage remotely while recording continues, and competitors rarely publish it. We state both on every listing.

Perimeter analytics run on fixed channel numbers. On the HUHI four-bay model that is sixteen channels at set ports; on the HQHI version only eight. Same channel count, very different analytics coverage — and a camera on the wrong port gets none.

Playback is 16-channel, not 32. You can record all thirty-two but review sixteen at once. Rarely a limitation in practice, but worth knowing if several people review together.

Our Hikvision DVR buying guide covers all three in detail, with the exact channel numbers for each model.

Hard drives are supplied separately — see our surveillance hard drives. Specifying a large system? Call 01902 902251 or visit the Wolverhampton trade counter.
