A DVR for a proper commercial coax system.
16-channel DVRs suit commercial units, schools, farms, forecourts and retail floors. At this size the HQHI tier gains 4K output, gigabit networking and 256 Mbps of bandwidth. The four-bay models add RAID-class storage, dual network ports and up to 34 IP channels on top of the coax.
What should I check before I order?
- Drive bays decide how long you keep footage. One bay across sixteen cameras is weeks. Four bays is months. If a licence sets a retention period, work back from it.
- On the four-bay /S models, perimeter analytics run on fixed channel numbers, not any channel you choose. Cameras on the wrong ports quietly get no perimeter detection. Our Hikvision DVR buying guide lists the exact ports for every model, and we're happy to map your channels before you install.
- PoC saves the power cables. PoC models send 48V down the same coax as the picture: one cable per camera, no power supply box. On a sixteen-camera upgrade that's sixteen power runs saved. Needs Hikvision PoC cameras.
- Hard drives are sold separately. See our surveillance hard drives.
Tell us your camera models and how long you keep footage, and we'll confirm the right recorder. Call us on 01902 902251. We deliver to England, Scotland and Wales within 1–2 working days.
