Two things worth checking before you order
Drive bays decide retention. One bay across sixteen cameras is weeks; four bays is months. If a licence condition sets a retention period, work backwards from it.
On the four-bay /S models, perimeter analytics run on fixed channel numbers — not any channel you choose. Wire the cameras in order and the ones on the wrong ports quietly get no perimeter detection. PoC saves the power run
On a sixteen-camera retrofit that is sixteen power runs avoided. The PoC models send 48V down the same coax that carries the video — one cable per camera, no PSU box. They require Hikvision PoC cameras.
