A thermal imaging camera, or thermal camera, forms its picture from heat rather than visible light. This category lists thermal CCTV cameras from Hikvision and Dahua, in network (IP) bullet and turret forms, plus one Dahua tripod mount for thermal and blackbody equipment.
Depending on the model, the product pages list:
- perimeter protection, with line crossing or tripwire and intrusion detection;
- fire detection, heat detection or temperature exception alarms;
- temperature measurement, including fever and body temperature screening on the Hikvision DS-2TD1217B turret models;
- thermal and visible images combined: Hikvision bi-spectrum models, and Dahua hybrid models with a 4MP visible camera and infrared night vision.
To choose, start with the job, then match the thermal sensor and lens to the distance you need to cover. Where listed, thermal sensor resolution runs from 160 x 120 to 400 x 300, and the Dahua cameras are IP67 rated and can be powered by PoE.
Model pages: DHI-TPC-BF5401-B25-BM-S2 bullet, DHI-TPC-DF1241-B3F4-DW-S2 hybrid turret, DS-2TD2617-6/V1 bullet and DS-2TD1217B-6-PA turret.
