The Dahua DHI-XVR5104C-4M is a 4 channel Penta-brid 4MP (2K) Smart 1U XVR CCTV DVR from Dahua’s Lite 2K Series, listed by Dahua as a 4 Channel Penta-brid 4MP Smart 1U Digital Video Recorder. It takes HDCVI, AHD, TVI, CVBS and IP camera inputs, and it records up to 4MP using H.264+ and H.264 compression. Dahua positions the XVR range as a way to upgrade existing video surveillance systems.
Also listed as XVR5104C-4M and DH-XVR5104C-4M. The 1080P version is the Dahua DHI-XVR5104C.

Which cameras can I connect to the DHI-XVR5104C-4M?

What resolution does it record at?
Main stream recording is 4MP and 3MP at 1 to 15fps, and 1080P, 720P, 960H, D1, CIF and QCIF at 1 to 25/30fps. The HDMI and VGA display resolutions listed run up to 2560 x 1440.
How much storage can I fit?
One SATA port, up to 8TB capacity. The datasheet lists eSATA as N/A. Dahua says Smart H.264+ can reduce bit rate and storage requirements by up to 70%.
Can I add IP cameras?
Yes. IP camera input is 4+2 channels, each channel up to 5MP, with max 24Mbps incoming bandwidth. The multi-screen display shows 1/4 views, or 1/4/6 when IP extension mode is enabled. It also lists ONVIF 2.42.
Does it record sound?
It has 1 audio input and 1 audio output on RCA connectors, and two-way talk reuses the audio in/out.
Can I view it on my phone?
The datasheet lists iPhone, iPad and Android support, P2P in its network functions and up to 128 users. It has one 100M RJ-45 network port.
Does it have alarm inputs or outputs?
The datasheet lists alarm input and relay output as N/A, and RS232 and RS485 as N/A.
